This is a customizable VRChat avatar based on the Vernid open species! This avatar comes with many customization options via shapekeys(and more to come in updates!), full facial visemes, dynamic bones set up, and includes a .blend file, substance painter file, and a .unitypackage with some pre-set prefabs!

The Vernid is still a work in progress, but is fully functional. The model will continue to receive updates for the forseeable future to add new customization options such as new ear types, horn types, hair, more facial customization options, and more!

The Vernid is built for VRC SDK3, however will likely receive an SDK2 compatibility update sometime in the future.

This avatar also has optimized prefabs made for Quest- however as of now these are UNTESTED and not 100% guaranteed to work as intended- if issues are found, I will of course release an update with a fix as soon as possible.

!!!It is HIGHLY recommended to use Substance Painter to texture this avatar! Substance Painter makes avatar texturing a hundred times easier, + can easily create specular, emission, and normal maps without needing to do extra work- I use Substance Painter to texture all of my avatars, which means they DO NOT come with .PSD files! I do not texture with Photoshop, just a fair warning.!!!

- You may customize this model however you like- you can even make public cloneable avatars with it.

- You may take commissions using this model, however if you're giving files, the other party must have also bought the model.

NOTE: There are two .prefab files for each body type preset, not counting the Quest prefabs- one with the Poiyomi shader applied, and one without, using the Unity standard specular shader instead. The Poiyomi Patreon shaders are required for the Poiyomi presets.

Also requires Dynamic Bones: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/animation/dynamic-bone-16743

============ CHANGELOG ==================

5/4/21 - Added 3 new addon hair meshes of varying flavors- head, head and neck, and full back mane, as well as new prefabs with the full back mane version applied. The hair has dynamic bones, too!

Also added some ear shape blendshapes.

To use a different hair mesh than the "default" on the prefabs, just click on the hair mesh once the model is in the scene, and change the mesh from "Hair3" to "Hair1" or "Hair2".

5/6/21 - Horn size and shape sliders are now functional, and I have added a new hairstyle, also with 3 length variations(head, head + neck, full back). I have made changes to how the hair works- they are no longer simply named "Hair1", "Hair2", etc- instead, the hair is named for style + length variation. Each hair piece also has a slider for outward hair length.

In order to swap hair meshes, simply select the "hair" object on the model once it's placed in the scene, and change the mesh to your preferred hairstyle. By default, on the prefabs, the hairstyle is "BaseHairFull".

The hairstyle meshes are as follows:

- BaseHairHead

- BaseHairNeck

- BaseHairFull

- SlickBackHead

- SlickBackNeck

- SlickBackFull

5/8/21 - Added a child/chibi version of the avatar, as well as added a new shapekey for the ears to pull them "outward" a bit, to make the ears more visible from frontal view.
