A cute robot dog with a musical spin. Additional free parts (alternate robotic species) are published to Patreon over time (for free). There's also a community effort to add more to this model over time with both free and paid add-ons.

Come to the fan discord and let us convince you that you need one of these mobile record players in your rotation!

Note: Some features (like digitigrade legs or kangaroo parts) need to be downloaded separately from the Patreon but these are always free posts. You will need at least a little knowledge of blender to install alternate parts.

PC ONLY, QUEST NOT SUPPORTED (work in progress) FUTURE ADD-ONS WILL BE FREE Includes:

  • Blender file for the model
  • Unity Package with everything you need to get the model in game
  • Documentation with explanations of aspects of the model (proper tutorials for modifying the avatar will be coming later) -Textures and templates for customizing the avatar to make it your own

FEATURES:

  • Highly customizable! Textures are laid out to be editable with standard image editors. Editable textures use .PSD format. (Also includes the original .afphoto files, specific to affinity photo and are NOT required). The materials in Unity make use of Poiyomi Toon Shader for lots of potential customization in how they look. PRIOR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH TEXTURING AND PBR MATERIALS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Texture file is fairly complex with a number of different texture maps and details.
  • Intractable! Physbones are intractable and have collision. There is a contact point on the chest panel and the nose for doing different things. The record tray and battery tray can be opened, and the record can be moved to and from the hand with the circle menu. There is also a variety of gestures.
  • Detailed! The Phonodroid avatar is designed to look good both inside and out, allowing for things like translucent shells that show the robotic interior of the avatar. Theres also a number of dynamic details, like the nose light, record needle, and speakers moving as you talk.
  • Optimized! At a total polygon count of 53,962 and material count of 4, The Phonodroid avatar fits neatly within VRChat's "Good" Avatar ranking with room still to add your own details without worrying about impacting performance.
  • On the fly color editing! Even without delving into the textures you can change the hue, brightness, and saturation of the Phonodroid shell and lights any time in game.

ONLINE PUBLISHING You are allowed to publish customized avatars to the public in VRChat under the following conditions:

  • The watermark in the radial menu must remain unchanged.
  • Public avatars must be completely Safe For Work. This includes fetish material that isn’t technically explicit.

THE AVATAR MAY NOT BE USED IN A COMMERCIAL MANNER. THIS INCLUDES:

  • Distribution of the original avatar, textures, model, or other files included with the avatar in a paid manner.
  • Using images or video of the avatar, textures, model, or other files included with the avatar to advertise a commercial service unrelated to the avatar and its intended use in VRChat. (it is OK to make custom Phonodroid add-on modifications and distribute them for payment, and use media of the avatar to advertise such, as long as the distributed files do not contain any original resources of the Phonodroid avatar nor any official add-on modifications, except for the Phonodroid avatar armature, which may be copied for use in any distributed add-ons.)

This avatar model is intended only for use in VRChat. If you wish to use the avatar model for a different purpose, please contact us at smorbiz@hotmail.com.

We ask that the source files not be distributed in any form as long as official means to get the avatar files are available..
