A highly customizable, Protogen inspired avatar!

This avatar is NOT quest compatible.


Avatar Features:

  • A huge amount of customization options
    • There is a lot of customization options, from head to toe. Different ears, feet, and many different body blendshapes for even more customizability! In total, there are:

  • A 3D internal face for the visor
    • No more using flat planes on the sides of the visor for your eyes, there is a fully modelled face inside instead that is mostly only visible on the eyes, nose, and mouth.
      • VRCFT supported with full eye and mouth tracking already setup!
        • Includes OSCSmooth and optional reduced viseme blendshapes for those who prefer them.
  • Premade gestures, and gesture components to make your own gestures
    • 7 different gestures and each individual face part movement as its own blendshape as well, allowing for custom gesture creation inside of Unity.
  • Foot to ground to collision
    • Utilizing a plane collider on the ground of your avatar, this allows your toes to immersivity collider with the floor.
      • This does not work with the hooved feet, as they do not have toes.
  • GoGo Loco QoL
    • A menu for many quality of life features, especially for users who don't have full body. It has many custom pose animations for crouching and being prone, the ability to lock yourself in place, and many other toggles. It's overall an amazing addition to any avatar.   • Two body texture sets
    • Included with this purchase is two different sets of materials for light and dark colors.
      • Additional eye material with irises for those who prefer it, and for those with eye-tracking.
  • Dancing whipcords
    • When enabled, you can make a glowing cord extend from the palm of your hand. These cords have low gravity and are just generally fun to play and swing around with. Also looks nice to dance with!
  • Tail and Ear Puppet controller
    • Two axis puppets in the menu that allows you to control the tails and ears. One for tail and one for ears.
      • Due to their reliance on gravity, tails 2 and 3 do not work with the puppet.
  • Parallel UV maps
    • Don't have Substance Painter? That's fine! Most of the UV maps for this avatar are parallel, allowing you to use drawing programs with symmetry if that's what you'd like instead.
      • The hair has two sets of UVs, one that overlaps (UV1) and one that is separated (UV0). The separated map is mainly for stuff like ambient occlusion, but you can use it to draw base color on, just beware it might not look very high res due to the fact that there is so much hair mesh on one UV map.
  • Highly detailed 4k texture maps
    • My materials often utilize many maps to look as nice as I can get them. Some of these maps are also crunched or have reduced resolutions so that the avatar file size is not huge.
      • You can remove the crunch and reduced resolution on textures, but I wouldn't recommend it, people don't like downloading 300 mb avatars! The quality loss is almost completely unnoticeable anyway.

This is my first attempt at a large scale furry avatar project. I put everything into this project, and I really hope that people enjoy it! I decided that I would allow people to upload public versions of this avatar due to the fact that I know that the furry community tends to really love making customized versions of avatars, so I reckoned why not!

I'm not sure how much this avatar may go against protogen lore, or things like that, but I mostly just designed the avatar to look cool and to make a protogen the way I imagine one.

If the avatar proves itself to be successful (I sure hope so!), I will make a channel in my discord server for owners of the avatar to share community made edits if they wish.

One of my big aims for this avatar was try to make the body androgynous, so that anyone can feel comfortable in this avatar no matter their preferences, and I think I achieved that pretty well.

How to set up:

  • If you haven't already, follow this guide to set up your SDK.
  • Create a new unity project.
  • Import the VRChat SDK (Use the VCC tool for most optimal results)
  • Import the free version of Poiyomi included in the download.
  • Import the HighCD Protogen files from the provided unity asset file, open the "HighCD Protogen" folder, then open the "Scene" folder and open the scene file.
  • (Optional) If you plan to use face-tracking hardware, go to the root of the avatar, under "LipSync", change mode to "Default" and under "Eye Look" click the disable button.
    • (Optional) If you plan to use reduced visemes for mouth tracking, keep the "LipSync" mode set to "Viseme Blend Shape" and change each viseme to the ones found at the bottom of the blendshape list.
    • (Optional) I'd highly recommend you use the alternate eye toggle in the "Other" menu if you plan to use eye-tracking.
  • Upload ready.

While this probably looks very unoptimized, I did my best to make this avatar as performance friendly as possible. From my experience, I've had a lobby full of people wearing this avatar and had no lag, but this obviously depends on the computer of a player more than anything else.


Credits:

  • ZinPia's Zeedah, which I used as a reference for some organic areas of the body. None of the Zeedah's resources were actually used in the final product, like I said before I mainly just used it to help me get the body shape correct which is modified on top of that, topology is by me. I can prove ownership of the commercial version if need be.
    • The Zeedah is an amazing model! I highly recommend it! Also if you see this, hi ZinPia, big fan!
  • Hair design is inspired by the female version of the Frostfang Barioth armor from Monster Hunter World. Mesh is made by me, and fur card texture was a private commission.
  • Shader used is Poiyomi Toon Shader
  • The many resources provided by the VRCFT discord server for creating and setting up face and eye-tracking
    • And Azmidi for helping me test the face tracking!
  • Fireelementor for providing useful information on creating and setting up 3D internal faces for protogens.
  • mykola1985 for this amazing high poly robot arm which I remodelled, retoplogized, re-rigged, re-uved, and retextured for my own use.

  • Don't claim work that isn't yours as your own.

  • Don't attach any of my work to anything hateful.

  • Don't redistribute this asset.

  • Don't include this asset in another purchasable package.

  • If you want to give/receive commissions for this avatar, both the artist and client need to own the Standard Version of this avatar.

  • I have the right to change the price of this avatar (although I doubt I will), if I do, don't come to me asking for a refund.

Edit Rules:

Things you CAN do:

  • Add your own models to the avatar

  • Edit the proportions of the avatar

  • Takes parts of other avatars and put it onto this avatar or vice versa (as long as it isn't against the other avatar's TOS)

  • Use this avatar for content creation such as streaming or video creation.

    • While not required, crediting me in the description would be greatly appreciated.
  • Edit the textures of this avatar

  • Create more optimized versions

  • Reverse-engineer parts of my model for your own creations.

  • Make child versions of my avatar, or chibi versions.

  • Sell/buy adopts for this avatar on the following conditions:

    • Both the seller and buyer own the avatar.
    • Edits are all done by you (or a team), and there are no other 3rd party assets you don't have the rights to included.
  • Attach NSFW addons to the avatar.

    • If you do this, I am not liable for the possibility of you getting banned. My avatar comes with everything SFW as is, add NSFW things to your avatars at your own discretion.

Things you CAN'T do:

  • Attach this avatar, or attach something to this avatar to something with hate speech, including racism, transphobia, antisemitism, or things of that nature.

  • Attach things to this avatar with the intention of ruining others' experiences in VRChat (crashers, extremely loud audio toggles, annoying visuals, etc.).

  • Taking parts off my avatar and putting them onto another avatar with the intention to put it onto a store page or sell it as an adopt.

  • Make child versions of my avatar if it's going to be used for NSFW activity.

  • Upload public versions of the recolors without editing them.

Breaking my TOS or can't do list may result in being permanently banned from my community and my store.
