An infinitely versatile item of clothing, is there any outfit, any climate, that a hoodie doesn't go with? We here at Scorpius submit that there is not. Coming in a total of 8 different configurations, we aim to provide a hoodie package to satisfy any and all of your virtually hooded sweatshirt needs.

Update 8/26: Added breathing BlendShapes to all variants.

Update 8/4: The arm weights didn't transfer properly for the hood down, sleeves down variants, causing the sleeves to float off your arms like spooky ghost sleeves. We got our ghost busters on it so the sleeves should be back in check. Tweaked the weighting on the hood down, sleeves up variant so the underarms should be a little less prone to clipping when your arms are down and palms facing outwards.

Update 8/3: The metadata for the hood up, sleeves up, open back, dynamic bones prefab variant got stuck, breaking the armature and BlendShapes - we gave it a good firm kick to get it unstuck. But we contend that 15/16 ain't bad. Disabled crunch compression on the textures because it was making importing the Unity package take a very long time - we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you re-enable crunch compression for any of the textures you are using, setting Compressor Quality to 100 for lossless compression, to help keep your avatar upload size down. Adjust the compressor quality, max texture size, etc. at your discretion.

Includes a Unity package containing:

- 8 rigged fbx hoodie models, to cover the matrix of hood up/down, sleeves up/down, and open/closed back, all variants include BlendShapes to expand the waist and bottom, allowing for a looser fit look and compatibility with many different bottoms, hoods include BlendShapes to make the hood longer, taller, and wider, hopefully improving compatibility with several types of hair, all variants include a prefab for dynamic bones on the hood drawstrings

- Prefab variants for each model to add dynamic bones on the drawstrings

- 2 material variants (black with Scorpius logo, and white, ready for recolor)

- Hoodie and open back variant substance painter files

- a generic helper script for easy bone parenting (read its instructions carefully and consider backing up before use, scripts are powerful but unintelligent and I do not accept responsibility for damage done to your avatar by misuse)

Installation:

- add the model perfab to your scene

- reset the accessory root game object position

- parent the accessory root game object to your avatar

- unpack the game object prefab (right click the one with the blue box -> "unpack prefab")

- parent each bone from the accessory armature to the bone with the corresponding name in the avatar armature (I recommend you add a suffix, like the name of the accessory, to the name of each bone, to streamline removal if desired)

- to prevent clipping with floof for every variant, set the avatar mesh Floof_chest_Flat, Floof_Shoulders_Flat, and Floof_Elbows_Flat BlendShapes to 100

- to prevent clipping with floof for the closed back variants, set the avatar mesh Floof_Back_Flat BlendShape to 100

- to prevent clipping with floof for the hood up variants, set the avatar mesh Floof_Cheeks_Flat and Floof_HeadTop_Flat BlendShapes to 100

Attestation and disclaimer:

I've used this on my personal avatar with full body tracking and believe it fits and deforms well; I believe I've made every reasonable effort to minimize clipping, stretching, and holes; there are certain extreme positions achievable in full body that would take significant additional effort to account for, as such I consider them acceptable to live with.

These do NOT support any blend shapes (breathing, muscle, fat, etc.) unless otherwise specified in the details table. If you use any of those blend shapes and would like this model to support them, get in contact and I may, no promises, look into it.

Any models, textures or accessories present in the demonstration images but not listed or described above are for demonstration purposes only and are NOT included in this purchase.

These will NOT work out of the box on any base other than the one described above and/or given in the details table. If you are interested in obtaining this model for another base, get in contact and I may, no promises, look into it.

This is a digital only product which you cannot meaningfully relinquish back to me and as such I will NOT be providing refunds. However if you are unsatisfied with the product, please be in touch and maybe we can work something out.

Support:

"It doesn't appear/deform correctly with my avatar"

- You may have misclicked or made a mistake in Unity (as I do, constantly), put it on the wrong base, or tried to mix it with an incompatible blend shape. If you've double checked and you're certain it's none of that, be in touch and I'll see if I can help.

"It clips/stretches/when I do X"

- Oof, I also hate clipping and stretching, sorry about that - please send me a picture, if X is a reasonable pose that I can account for, I will look into it.

"It clips/clashes with X other accessory"

- Hm, okay, unfortunately I can't anticipate how it'll interact with other accessories I don't combine it with and I so far haven't worked with any other makers, but shoot me a picture and if it can be accommodated without too much effort, especially if it's one of my accessories, I'm happy to look at adding a blend shape for it if it seems reasonable that they would be worn together

"Can you add this with X texture/modification?"

- With the included models, textures, and Substance Painter file you have all the resources you need to make modifications to my assets and I encourage you to do so. However, if you lack the skillset and believe your request is quite reasonable, I'm happy to add value to my products and provide free updates, send it my way and I'll see if I can accommodate.

"Where can I find X accessory from the demo images?"

- I'll try and link to them as my selection grows, most of them shouldn't be hard to find on my store. I generally try not to leverage other artist's accessories for my demonstration images, but if one gets in there I'll definitely link to it too.

"You should make X"

- I really enjoy making these so please, shoot me your suggestions, keeping in mind that I am not currently inclined to very casual collaborations or profit splits for ideas.
