Prices
Why is there a message below a price saying that it might not be accurate?
This site stores a copy of data from websites such as Gumroad, Itch.io, Booth, etc. Technically any of the data you see could be stale. Price is an especially delicate number that we want avoid misleading people on and may frequently change. Other data like title, description, etc. is less important to keep accurate especially as it rarely changes.
Why aren't prices shown in lists of assets by default?
We deliberately hide any price set on an asset only in lists because:
-
The price may not be accurate as the author may increase or decrease the price for whatever reason and it won't be reflected here.
-
Some sites allow you to sell variations of an asset. This site doesn't have a variations system so the price is vague to begin with.
-
Prices on products most likely "scare people away" from an asset. We know authors spend a ridiculous amount of hours building assets and want to encourage people to buy them.
-
We want to minimise the UI to avoid overloading users with content.
How can I see prices?
Go to My Account -> Settings -> Enable "Show more info".
